It is also used to treat anthrax infections in adults and children and also to treat skin and soft tissue infections.

Ciprofloxacin may be taken with or without food. However, it is best to take ciprofloxacin at the first sign of an attack and not after. Ciprofloxacin may be taken once daily. The usual dose is 2.5 mg/kg twice daily for 7 days. Use a dose of ciprofloxacin 100 mg once daily to treat symptoms of an acne break in adults.
Keep HSC Otic Solution out of reach of children. Do not use it in the form of a cream, gel, ointment, liquid or in the form of an oral tablet. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack. A history of hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or any other component of the medication is a contraindication to its use. A history of hypersensitivity to other quinolones may also contraindicate the use of ciprofloxacin.
Not for Injection into the Eye.
Serious and occasionally fatal hypersensitivity (anaphylactic) reactions, some following the first dose, have been reported in patients receiving systemic quinolone therapy. Some reactions were accompanied by cardiovascular collapse, loss of consciousness, tingling, pharyngeal or facial edema, dyspnea, urticaria, and itching. Only a few patients had a history of hypersensitivity reactions. Serious anaphylactic reactions require immediate emergency treatment with epinephrine and other resuscitation measures, including oxygen, intravenous fluids, intravenous antihistamines, corticosteroids, pressor amines and airway management, as clinically indicated.
